January 2025
In 2024, National Development of America, Inc. made significant progress in addressing Florida’s affordable housing needs through a series of impactful projects. By partnering with local organizations, securing key funding, and focusing on sustainable and accessible living solutions, the company helped expand affordable housing options across multiple communities. Below is a recap of the key milestones achieved throughout the year.
- San Pedro at Meadow Park: In partnership with the Diocese of Venice in Florida, National Development of America, Inc. unveiled San Pedro at Meadow Park, a new affordable housing community in Arcadia. The development offers 23 three-bedroom, two-bathroom units with modern amenities such as stainless steel appliances and full-size washers and dryers. Construction was completed in January 2024.
- Wauchula Place: With financing from the Florida Community Loan Fund and federal HOME program funds, National Development of America, Inc. began construction on Wauchula Place in June 2024. This new development will feature 22 garden-style apartments, equipped with Energy Star-rated appliances, and will cater to low-income households in need of affordable housing. Construction will be completed in Summer 2025.
- Holy Child: Construction commenced on this new development which consists of 25 single family homes and a clubhouse. The homes will feature 3 and 4-bedroom floorplans with each home having a driveway, spacious kitchen, living and dining room as well as a full-size washer and dryer. This development is expected to greatly contribute to the much-needed affordable housing within the City of Bowling Green. Construction will be completed in Fall 2025.
- St. Peter Claver Place Apartments – Phase 1: This development, providing affordable housing for individuals earning up to 60% of the Area Median Income, includes 136 units with two-bedroom, two-bath and three-bedroom, two-bath floorplans. Amenities include stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, walk-in closets, and luxury vinyl flooring. Construction was complete in April 2024.
- St. Peter Claver Place – Phase II: This new project was awarded funding from Lee County’s CDBG-DR in the Fall and will break ground in 2025. This second phase will consist of 72 units with a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom homes in Fort Myers, FL.
- Bahia Vista Apartments – 250-unit joint venture project located in Sarasota, FL. The property will contain 35 affordable units.
- Casa San Juan Diego: secured funding from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation and Collier County to develop an 80-unit project in Immokalee, FL, featuring two and three-bedroom floorplans.
- Kenner Housing Development – 121-units including 40 new construction and 79 fully rehabbed units plus a community center. This project is located in Kenner, LA and in partnership with Kenner Housing Authority.

August 2024
Wauchula Place – $750,000 FCLF loan
- Financing for land acquisition and construction
- 22 units of affordable housing

In Wauchula, as in many areas of Florida, there is a shortage of available and affordable rental housing. In Hardee County, an estimated 42% of renter households are cost-burdened, meaning they pay more than 35% of income on housing and related expenses.

April 2024
St. Peter Claver Place Apartments, a new affordable housing complex in Fort Myers, has units that are now up for rent. The Dioceses of Venice and the National Development of America unveiled the apartments at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, with Mayor Kevin Anderson in attendance, along with the City of Fort Myers councilmembers.

February 2024
The recently completed San Pedro at Meadow Park affordable housing community with 23 apartments in Arcadia was blessed by Bishop Frank J. Dewane Jan. 30, 2024.

October 2023
The recently completed Casa San Alfonso affordable housing community with 21 single-family homes in Zolfo Springs was blessed by Bishop Frank J. Dewane Sept. 28, 2023.

July 2023
National Development of America is excited to announce that we have recently been awarded HOME funds from Florida Housing Finance Corporation to be used towards our two brand new projects! We hope to begin construction on these developments by the beginning of 2024.
Wauchula Place will be located off Diana Ave in Wauchula, FL. The property will consist of 22 garden style apartments with 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom floorplans situated on roughly 6 acres. Each apartment will feature Energy Star rated appliances and all first floor units will have their own patios.
Holy Child will be located off Chester Ave and East Banana St in Bowling Green, FL. The property will consist of 25 single family homes with both 3 and 4 bedroom floorplans. All homes will feature Energy Star rated appliances. This community will sit on approximately 9 acres which will include an onsite clubhouse and an outdoor recreational space.
April 2023
This week, we celebrated the ceremonial groundbreaking of St. Peter Claver Place Apartments, an affordable housing apartment complex in the City of Fort Myers’ MLK redevelopment area. We’re proud to partner with the Diocese of Venice in Florida, the City of Fort Myers, Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency and LEE COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY to bring affordably priced rental apartments to our community.
While Hurricane Ian may have delayed this commemorative event, we’ve made strong progress on construction and look forward to completing Phase 1 in early 2024.
