President

Rick Miller

Rick has been involved in the real estate industry on the West Coast of Florida since 1974, having had offices originally in Bradenton and, subsequently, opening a Fort Myers office in 1984. Rick is responsible for site acquisition, entitlement, financing, and construction oversight of several residential and commercial communities. He was also responsible for the management of those properties upon completion.

Under Rick’s leadership, the company has grown and is responsible for the successful development of a variety of apartment communities throughout the West Coast of Florida, New York, Pennsylvania and Louisiana. These properties include both affordable and market rate apartment complexes, office buildings, residential subdivisions, to name a few.

Rick has also been a licensed real estate broker for over 40 years and has been involved in a variety of service organizations in his community during that time.

Development & Asset Management

Brian Miller

Brian has been with National Development of America, Inc. since 2013 and is primarily involved in the development process of all projects. Brian has worked on every aspect of the development process including land acquisition, permitting, coordination of design plans, construction support and the transition to property management. Brian is also involved in the financial projections of each project and tracks project costs to keep the jobs within budget.

In addition to the above development activities, Brian coordinates the single-family program. This includes the acquisition and rehabilitation of new and existing homes in various locations throughout Lee County, Florida and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He coordinates the marketing and re-sale of homes to entry-level and market-rate home buyers. In this role, Brian works with sellers, real estate professionals, subcontractors and lenders to achieve the sale of single-family homes. Brian received his B.S. in Business Management from Florida Gulf Coast University.

Development & Construction

Matt Miller

Matt is responsible for leading development and construction efforts across the southeast. His primary focus is to facilitate efficient operations throughout the full development cycle with our clients.

With more than 15 years of experience in both residential and commercial development, Matt provides a fast-paced, detail-oriented approach providing clear and efficient solutions to the project challenges. His range of experience in finance, entitlements, construction and leasing makes him an integral part of every project.

Prior to joining the NDA team, Matt worked as a Development Manager in the affordable housing industry. He then worked as the Director of Real Estate and Development for two national retail companies based in the southeast. Matt earned his degree from Kennesaw State University just outside of Atlanta, Georgia.

Project Coordinator & Client Relations

Deb Henderson

Deb has been with National Development of America, Inc. since 1988 and has worked on a variety of affordable, market-rate, and commercial projects during that time. Deb’s development and construction activities include preparing financing applications, coordinating due diligence activities, and preparing construction and bank draws. Deb provides the team with invaluable client and lender interaction and management.

In addition, Deb handles all office and project accounting activities as well as all office-related responsibilities / functions for the company.

Finance & Acquisitions

John Raymond

John is focused on underwriting and business development for National Development. In this role, he is responsible for sourcing debt and equity and ensuring continued success for our partners. In addition, he works with our clients to develop strategies for future growth and redevelopment.

Prior to joining National Development, John worked in both underwriting and development with a focus on multi-family and retail properties. In his latest role, he oversaw Real Estate, Construction and New Business Development for Save A Lot’s national footprint where he oversaw the repositioning for their 1,200-property portfolio.

John received his B.S. in Financial Management from Clemson University and his M.S.R.E from Georgia State University.

Project Coordinator

Rachel Leonard

Rachel is concentrated on coordinating internal and external procedures to ensure that projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget. She coordinates with managers and clients to define project requirements and objections that align with organizational goals. Rachel’s development and construction responsibilities include preparing financing applications, coordinating due diligence activities, and preparing monthly construction and bank draws to guarantee all vendors are paid in a timely manner.

Prior to joining the NDA team, Rachel worked in the Property Management industry for 12 years. Her last role as a Property Manager consisted of efficiently operating a 400-unit high rise apartment community in Miami, FL. She was responsible for everything from meeting quarterly budget goals, managing an onsite leasing and maintenance team, presenting the property in an exceptional manner for ownership visits, to ensuring the residents had an enjoyable living experience.
